Course Objectives

This is a two-day programme offering a comprehensive overview on the multidisciplinary management of abdominal wall surgery. We will focus on both open and laparoscopic surgery for Hernia Repair and discuss the most recent advances in surgical treatment, both open and laparascopic.

Aim

  • Provide knowledge of open and laparoscopic treatment for
    ventral and inguinal hernia repair
  • Learn how to choose and use different prosthetic materials
  • Focus on different surgical techniques for hernia repair
  • Learn about new biological measures

Day 1

  • Open Ventral Hernia Repair
  • Laparoscopic Ventral Herniorrhaphy
  • Repair with Biological Mesh
INGUINAL HERNIA
  • Surgical Methods in Open Repair Today
  • Technique of Laparoscopic Repair (TEP, TAPP, IPOM)
  • Open or Laparoscopic Repair: What is the evidence?
  • Managing Intra-operative Complication during TEP
  • Recurrent Inguinal Hernia Repair
HANDS-ON ON LIVE TISSUE
  • Open and Endolaparoscopic Inguinal Mesh Repair
  • Open and Laparoscopic Ventral Hernia Repair
 

Day 2

LIVE SURGERY
  • Inguinal Hernia Repair (Open and Laparoscopic)
  • Ventral Hernia Repair (Open and Laparoscopic)
  • Single Port Hernia Repair
 

Course Fees


  Full Day Programme 1 Day Lecture

Course fees are inclusive of 7% GST and non-commissionable.
