3rd International Workshop N.O.T.E.S [Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscope] and Single Port Surgery

Course Objectives

Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) and Single Port Surgery are the latest, emerging to conventional surgery that eliminates or reduces abdominal aggression by reducing These technique combines both laparoscopic and endoscopic approach and expertise to perform intraperitoneal procedures by accessing the abdominal cavity differently.

Tremendous interest has been spurred by the early success of Single Port Surgery and NOTES even though in small different case series with potential advantages of NOTES are less pain, low incidence of port hernias, and low wound infections.

  • To discuss and explore over these new developed surgical platforms;
  • To exchange experiences and ideas on these new surgical approach;
  • To understand the challenges and the rationale to translate NOTES
    from bench to clinical practice.

Who Should Attend

Practicing surgeons who want to learn, develop or improve in endolaparoscopic surgical skills. Operating theatre staffs who want to understand more on the basic theory and the rationale of newest Natural Orifice Surgery.
